Lykke Li, the queen of heartbreak, blended melancholy and desire with infectious pop melodies, turning Way Out West into a dancefloor for beautiful sadness.

Stripping away traditional pop gloss in favor of raw, cinematic emotion, she showed that sorrow remains her trademark, while her evolving sound leans further into disco-tinged pop.
